The Halifax Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire rescue service. We currently cover Halifax Township, Halifax Boro, Wayne Township, and most of Reed Township as our first due area, as well as first due rescue for Jefferson and Jackson Townships. Our Station is located at 22 S. River Rd. in Halifax Township, adjacent to the infamous "Triangle", just off the intersection of routes 147 and 225. Our department was the result of a merger between the Powells Valley Volunteer Fire Company and the Halifax & Community Fire Company in August of 1994, but our history reaches back over 100 years.
