The Halifax Forestry Crew consists of members of Halifax Fire Department, Fisherville Fire Co., Carsonville Fire Co., Millersburg Fire Co., Wiconisco Fire Co, and private citizens.

The forestry crew is a group of people that are summonded by the Bureau of Forestry to respond to large scale forest / wildland fires in Dauphin and surrounding Counties. The crew does have the potential to be deployed anywhere in Pennsylvania. The crew is in need of more members and specialized training is available to anyone on the crew. You must be 18 years old to be on the crew. All members of the crew must have PA130 (Basic Wildland FF), S190 Wildland Fire Behavior, ICS 100, and ICS 700 as a minimum to be elligble for reimbursement.
