Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician
6/07- Several members along with members from several other Departments completed the entire vehicle rescue series. Congratulations to everyone for completing the class. Thank you to the instructors and Co 37 for bringing the rescue.
Rapid Intervention Team Operations
7/07- This weekend we hosted the Rapid Intervention Team Operations course. During this course members from many several Departments learned the aspects of RIT. The training taught firefighters the many aspects of RIT to include rapid extrication, haul systems, wall breaching, and much more. Thank you to the Instructors, Paxtang, Middletown, and Linglestown Fire Departments for your assistance with the training. A special thanks to the Shoop Family for the use of the structure and to the Halifax Fire Department Canteen crew for the great meals.
ICS 400- Advanced ICS
4/20/08- Today we had several members complete the ICS 400 Advanced ICS course at the station. Thank you to Kevin Nelson for instructing. The Halifax Fire Department is proud to announce at the conclusion of this course we are now 100% compliant for the required NIMS/ICS training for all members. The following members completed the couse: Asst Chief Tom Pottiger, Asst Chief Warren Pottiger, Asst Chief Charlie Bisking, Capt Jeff Warfel, Lt Keith Pottiger, FF/EMT Tim Neiter, Amanda Nornhold, Waylon Leonard, Beth Leonard, Scott Paul, Megon Laudenslager and FF Matt Herrold. Congratulations to all of you for your accomplishment.
